According to The Verge news, Polar today launched the Vantage V3 series of watches, featuring more ways to measure movement, faster processing speeds, and the addition of offline maps.
The Vantage V3 is described as an iteration of the Vantage V2, which has been available since 2020 and is now open for pre-order with a retail price of $599.90 (currently around RMB 4,385).
The Polar Vantage V3 is described as using the company’s biosensing technology, Polar Elixir, to measure cardiovascular activity, nervous system, and body temperature, and then translate those numbers into data. The Vantage V3 also comes with an AMOLED touchscreen display, dual-frequency GPS, and offline maps for runners off the beaten path.
The company says the Vantage V3’s CPU is 129% faster than the V2, which allows it to run all the new Elixir features. Polar claims that the Vantage V3’s battery “supports up to 140 hours of battery life on a single charge in power-saving mode and up to eight days of display time,” and Polar says the Vantage V3 can be used with its standard wristband without an adapter.
