POCO M5 to launch soon in India; powered by MediaTek Helio G99

POCO has officially teased a smartphone on its official Twitter handle. According to reports, the teaser is for the Poco M5. Although the company’s teaser graphic does not offer any facts about the smartphone, it does mention “G99.” According to reports, the Poco M5 would be powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 SoC.  The smartphone would be released in India in early September. It is also believed to be a smartphone with 4G connectivity. The image does have a special leather-like effect which aims that the device may come with a leather finish on the rear panel.

According to a report shared by 91Mobiles, which cited industry sources, the POCO M5 is rumoured to be priced below Rs. 15,000 in India.
