Plugable releases the third generation USBC-VAMETER portable power meter that supports PD3.1

With the completion of the PD 3.1 specification, a 240W-only power transfer USB cable and charging head are ready to go. After introducing the second generation of the USBC-VAMETER power measurement gadget with an OLED screen last year, Plugable is now bringing the upgraded USBC-VAMETER3.

(From: Plugable official website)

Although the shape is not much different from the old model, but an interesting change in the new model is the addition of a new rotatable adjustable screen orientation.

Even better, the third-generation power measurement gadget now supports 48V (4.5-50V) voltage steps — while the second generation only supports up to 20V (4-20V) — and the power monitoring range has been increased from 100W to 240W.

Plugable explains that the gadget features a bright, easy-to-read display and a new orientation button — which flips the screen’s orientation with one easy press.

Whether it’s a cell phone, laptop/tablet, the USBC-VAMETER3 can be easily adapted without interfering with the normal operation of the device in question.

The new USBC-VAMETER is a great choice for any technical professional or enthusiast who needs to monitor power information on their equipment.

For those interested, they are now available through Amazon and other channels for $29.95 (about 202 RMB). However, there is a $4 limited time coupon available, so be sure to check the box before ordering.

Earlier this year, ChargerLAB also introduced the $100 Power-Z KM002C portable USB-C power measurement gadget with PD 3.1 and QC 5.0 support.
