PlayStation Japan has made the coming launch of the company’s new VR headset public. This confirmation first came from the company’s Japanese Twitter handle. According to the information, Sony’s PlayStation VR2 will launch early next year.

The timing of this launch will space the two generations of Sony’s VR headsets 6 years apart. This spacing leaves the market wondering what is to come and what improvements there will be. Already, Sony took to its newsroom a few weeks ago to tease about the features of this coming VR headset.

One of the many features we expect from the PlayStation VR2 is its refresh rate. The VR2 headset to launch next year (according to PlayStation Japan) will come with either a 90Hz or 120Hz refresh rate. It’d also feature a 4K resolution to aid in providing a more immersive viewing experience for gaming.

There are many games we expect to make their way to this VR headset. The company has announced over 20 games to feature on the PlayStation VR2. But we know that after it launches, there will be more additions to the list of games available on the platform.
