According to tomshardware, the PlanetPC XR1 Mini and PlanetPC XR2 Mini desktop released by British computer manufacturer Planet earlier this year are now available, running Ubuntu 20.04 system.
In terms of configuration, Planet’s XR1 Mini and XR2 Mini desktops are equipped with Rockchip’s RK3568 and RK3588 respectively. In terms of specifications, RK3568 is a quad-core Cortex-A55 + Mali G52 GPU specification. RK3588 is equipped with quad-core Cortex-A76 + quad-core Cortex-A55 and also has Arm Mali “Odin” GPU. Both models come with 4GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 32GB of solid-state storage by default.
In terms of design, the XR1 Mini and XR2 Mini measure approximately 29×26×6 cm, with a color touch screen on the front panel, which can quickly open common functions and control Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, network disk, audio and other system functions. In terms of interfaces, the two mini hosts are equipped with Ethernet ports, USB Type-A, HDMI, VGA / D-Sub, USB-C (RK3588 only), MicroSD and audio interfaces.
In terms of price, the Planet XR1 Mini is $800 including value-added tax, while the XR2 Mini is $1008 including value-added tax.
