During the 2023 Tokyo Game Show, Microsoft Game CEO Phil Spencer was interviewed by Game Watch and talked about the pricing of Game Pass. When asked if Game Pass will see further price increases in the future, Phil Spencer responded in the affirmative.
Phil Spencer’s answer is as follows:
I think the price of Game Pass will increase further in the future, but only if we provide more value to players.
We recently increased Game Pass pricing, but this was a decision made after careful consideration. We always believe that even if prices increase, it is important that we provide corresponding value services.Microsoft is currently actively promoting the acquisition of Activision Blizzard. If this acquisition comes to fruition, Game Pass will introduce many blockbuster games such as “Call of Duty”.
