Recently, Dongfeng Peugeot announced that it will launch the Peugeot 408 model on March 18. The new car will be equipped with a 1.5T engine with a maximum power of 127kW (173 horsepower) and a peak torque of 255 N·m.

The Peugeot 408 has previously been submitted to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. There will be no adjustments to the design of the new car. It will be available in three body colors: Cézanne White, Monet Gray and Degas Black. The car has the borderless front face of the Peugeot family, and the lion claw light groups on both sides have sharp shapes. The length, width and height of the vehicle are 4750/1820/1488mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2730mm.
The 1.5T engine code-named YG01 was jointly developed by Shenlong Motors and the Asia-Pacific R&D Center of STELLANTIS Group. As mentioned above, its maximum power is 127kW (173 horsepower) and its peak torque is 255 N·m. The official stated that the new engine will be installed. Peugeot 408 WLTC combined fuel consumption is 6.10L/100km.
