According to Taiwan’s Economic Daily News, Acer announced the launch of Acer ebii, a single-motor electric-assisted bicycle with AI technology at its core, which can automatically adapt to route conditions, pedaling force and user preferences with ebii Assist technology.
Acer ebii electric power bicycle adopts modular architecture, with battery pack and control box in a compact intelligent vehicle control box, making Acer ebii electric power bicycle easy to charge and carry battery, and easy to maintain and upgrade. Acer ebii electric power bicycle’s wheelset adopts a rugged single-sided fork design; single-sided 250/350W motor with 48V controller area network (CAN bus) and 40Nm torque performance for riding speeds up to 25km/h.
Powered by AI technology, ebiiAssist adjusts to the rider’s pedaling force, riding conditions and preferred level of assistance, making the experience smarter and more personal with increased use. During the ride, the controller automatically adjusts the motor output through AI technology to match the rider’s pedaling force and route.
Acer ebii electric power bikes combine AI technology with big data and the ebiiGO app to collect user experiences. Riders can connect their cell phones to the ebii via Bluetooth and view recommended routes, battery levels, riding speeds and auto-unlock settings from ebiiGO. ebiiRide also allows riders to adjust power levels as they travel, with the ebiiAssist feature, to ensure the bike does not run out of power in the middle of a trip. The ebiiRide has three modes of use to meet a wide range of needs, including Eco mode for power saving, My ebii mode for smart balancing, and Boost mode for adjusting riding speed and motor output based on current road conditions and target distance.
The Acer ebii e-bike is equipped with a removable battery with a range of 110 km and can be charged to 100% in 2.5 hours, and the AI technology optimizes the power configuration so that the battery life can support a full day of riding. It’s also worth noting that the Acer ebii e-bike’s battery can be removed from underneath the frame for charging, and can be used as a mobile charger for other devices.
The new Acer ebii e-bike is equipped with a range of safety features, including a headlight and taillight that automatically turn on in the dark, and additional lighting under the vehicle’s control box to enhance visibility during nighttime rides. The Acer ebii’s radar sensor under the seat provides a timely alert when a vehicle or object approaches from behind.
The Acer ebii electric power bicycle features an aluminum frame, non-inflatable solid blast tires with multi-layer foam inserts, and a reinforced, maintenance-free, rust-resistant carbon fiber drive belt.
