Download and install Windows operating systems on Intel or Apple M-Series Mac computers. Copy and paste text or drag and drop objects seamlessly between Mac and Windows. Develop and test across multiple operating systems in a Mac virtual machine. Run Windows applications effortlessly without slowing down your Mac.

Parallels Desktop 18 for Mac starts at $618 for a new license and $498 for an upgrade option.

According to the website, Parallels Desktop 18 includes more than 20 powerful must-have features (optimized for macOS Ventura, Intel and Apple M-Series chips) and has everything you need to boost performance.

Optimized for the latest Apple hardware – Improved compatibility with Apple ProMotion technology and optimized synchronization between Mac and Windows.

Here are the major updates to Parallels Desktop 18 Standard Edition
Support for macOS Ventura. Parallels Desktop supports mac OS Ventura (post-release), macOS Monterey, macOS Big Sur 11, macOS Catalina 10.15, and macOS Mojave 10.14.

With Parallels Desktop, you can use high-performance Windows applications on your Mac, such as running Visual Studio, SolidWorks, Autodesk, and other resource-intensive applications. Run Windows applications without switching to a PC.

Parallels Desktop deeply integrates Windows with your Mac, allowing you to seamlessly move and share clipboard content, files, folders, and images between your Mac and Windows.

This version supports the latest Linux versions, including Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, Fedora 36, CentOS Linux 9 Stream, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9, Kali Linux 2022.2, and more.

Boot Linux ARM virtual machines over the network. Linux users may now prefer to use NetBoot for Linux ARM64 virtual machines (on Mac computers with Apple M-series chips).

Parallels Desktop 18 automatically connects your Xbox or PlayStation DualShock Bluetooth game controller to Windows and Linux. simply connect the controller to your Mac, switch to Windows, and start playing games.

The latest version improves compatibility with Apple ProMotion displays and taps into the performance potential of Apple’s M-Series chips.

Windows will now use the automatically updated display refresh rate if changes are made in macOS preferences.

Network Tuner on Apple M-Series Mac computers. A feature for Mac computers with Apple M-Series chips that allow users to configure various network conditions (bandwidth, packet loss, and latency) for virtual machines! This feature is available for Windows and Linux virtual machines.

Use Visual Studio for remote analysis. Easily analyze application performance in a separate virtual machine using Visual Studio. Extended functionality of the Visual Studio (VS) plug-in VMDebugHelper allows C++ developers to analyze applications on their secondary virtual machine by selecting the appropriate virtual machine in the VS UI menu.

Single Sign-on / SAML authentication is required for employees to use Parallels Desktop. Parallels Desktop requires the use of an activation key and licenses are managed by the device. It is not suitable for companies that allow users to use applications through the use of SAML and SCIM. For these companies, it is less convenient to use a license key or invitation email to activate.
