Oukitel has announced their latest rugged phone. The company claims the new phone dubbed Oukitel WP20 will be lighter with a more stylish design compared to other rugged phones.
Though the phone will weigh only 297g, it is expected to be as tough as nail. It comes with an IP68 and IP69K rating making it water-resistant. It is also MIL-STD-810H compliant (the latest military standard). Effectively making WP20 a smartphone capable of surviving in the most extreme and harsh environments. With this solid protection, WP20 can be expected to last longer than most phones.
If you know anything about Oukitek products, you know they love making products with some of the biggest battery systems. The WP20 inherits that with its 6300mAh battery. This battery is capable of taking you a couple of days without the constant need to recharge. It also supports reverse charging which means in case of a power outage, you can charge other electronics.
The device will come with only 2 cameras on the back, a 20MP main camera, and a photosensitive auxiliary camera according to information on the company’s website.
The WP20 sports a 5.93” HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. WP20 is very handy and can be easily operated with one hand. It has a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass as protection and promises a good visual experience.
Out of the box, the device will run Android 12 OS, a more dynamic and personal OS that allows you to have much control over the optimization and personalization of your phone. WP20 will inherit great features, particularly in UI optimization, privacy control, security updates, and improved performance.
Oukitel WP20 will be available for preorder from May 23rd at just $89.99 on AliExpress. After May 27th, it will return to its original price of $189.99.
