Aug. 30, 2018 – Today, Baidu released its unaudited financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2022. In the second quarter, Baidu achieved revenue of 29.647 billion yuan; net profit attributable to Baidu (non-GAAP) reached 5.541 billion yuan, up 3% year-over-year and 43% sequentially, exceeding market expectations.
Baidu founder, chairman and CEO Robin Li said, “Radish Express remains the world’s largest self-driving mobility provider.”
The data shows that Radish Express provided 287,000 rides in the second quarter, an increase of nearly 500 percent year-over-year. As of July 20, 2022, the cumulative order volume of Radish Express reached 1 million orders, sitting as the world’s largest self-driving mobility service provider.
Currently, Radish Express has landed in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chongqing, Wuhan, Hefei, Chengdu and other cities.
In August last year, Robin Li announced the Baidu unmanned car travel service platform “radish fast run”. According to the plan, “Radish Run” will take three years to enter 30 cities in China.
It is worth mentioning that in August this year, Radish Express opened fully unmanned commercial operations in Chongqing and Wuhan, making Baidu the first and only company in China to provide fully unmanned self-driving travel services to the public on open roads.
