Orange Pi launched for the first time Orange Pi Compute Module 4 (hereinafter referred to as CM4), a computing module for industrial applications and system integration. Compared with the previous development boards, Orange Pi CM4 is smaller and Lighter, more customizable, and better suited for industrial-grade applications.
In terms of hardware configuration, Orange Pi CM4 uses Rockchip RK3566 quad-core 64-bit Cortex-A55 processor (22nm process, main frequency up to 1.8GHz), integrated ARM Mali G522EE graphics processor, supports OpenGL ES 1.1/2.0/3.2 , OpenCL 2.0, Vulkan 1.1, embedded 2D accelerated hardware.
In addition, Orange Pi CM4 integrates RKNN NPU AI accelerator, 0.8Tops@INT8 performance, and supports one-click conversion of Caffe / TensorFlow / TFLite / ONNX / PyTorch / Keras / Darknet architecture models.
Orange Pi CM4 provides a wealth of interfaces, different specifications of eMMC flash memory and wireless modules. At the same time, in addition to the onboard antenna, the board can also be equipped with an external antenna, which is more suitable for industrial applications.
Announced alongside the Orange Pi CM4 is the Orange Pi CM4 baseplate.
This baseboard can be used with Orange Pi CM4, onboard 40Pin GPIO interface and standard CM4 connector, which brings together eDP, MIPI DSI, MIPI CSI, USB3.0, USB2.0, HDMI2.0, M.2 M-KEY, Various popular interfaces such as Gigabit Ethernet can be applied to external device control and expansion.
The Orange Pi CM4 baseboard can be used as a development system for CM4 and integrated into end products as an embedded circuit board, supporting access to the Orange Pi CM4 / Raspberry Pi CM4 core board.
In terms of usage, Orange Pi CM4 has dual-band WiFi (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, supports BLE, and can be used as a gateway for IoT devices, collecting data from sensors and sending them to the cloud for remote monitoring, remote control and post-analysis. The bottom board of Orange Pi CM4 has a 40Pin function expansion interface, supports GPIO, UART, I2C, SPI, PWM interface types, and can connect most common industrial I/O. A camera can also be connected via the CSI port for visual inspection.
Orange Pi CM4 has various models to choose from, such as 1GB / 2GB / 4GB / 8GB memory, choose with or without Wi-Fi Bluetooth, 8GB / 32GB / 64GB / 128GB eMMC or without eMMC.
In terms of price, the 1GB memory (no Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, no eMMC) version of the Orange Pi CM4 has a personal maker price starting at 119 yuan. The summary prices are as follows:
