Tesla 2022 AI Day was held in Palo Alto, California, with Tesla CEO Elon Musk in attendance, who said he would bring progress on the Optimus Prime humanoid robot, the Tesla FSD and the Dojo supercomputer.
Musk first brought a prototype of Tesla’s humanoid robot Optimus and showed through a video what the robot could do, such as carrying and watering. Then Musk showed a version of the Optimus robot ready for production.
Elon Musk said the goal is to create a useful humanoid robot as soon as possible. Elon Musk expects the production of the “Optimus Prime” humanoid robot will reach millions of units, and the price is much cheaper than the car, is expected to be less than $ 20,000 per unit.
At the meeting, Tesla showed different versions of the development process of the “Optimus Prime” humanoid robot.
Tesla engineers said that they are working to reduce the power consumption and the number of parts of the Optimus robot.
