According to Jiemian News, OPPO has internally decided to invest 10 billion in its sub-brand OnePlus in the next three years.
“Most of the 10 billion funds will be used for OnePlus’ product development. In addition, all of OPPO’s next resources will be greatly tilted towards OnePlus, including OPPO’s basic R&D, supply chain, and channel, the leading technology of research institutes and R&D departments, etc.,” OPPO internal executives revealed.
Both OPPO and OnePlus are companies controlled by Guangdong Oujia Holdings Co., Ltd., but apart from supply chain and production sharing, the brands have always operated independently, and their market positioning is also different.
OnePlus phone is a brand founded by OPPO Vice President Liu Zuohu in 2013. It was once popular in overseas markets, and then officially returned to OPPO in 2021. It has since become an independently operated brand under OPPO.
