The Snapdragon W5+ and W5 platforms launched about a week ago, and the OPPO Watch 3 series will use them. A promotion image for the coming OPPO wearable shows that it’ll use this platform. At the launch of the new Snapdragon flagship wearable processor line, the company named OPPO as one of the first to launch with it.

The Snapdragon W5 platform uses the 4nm fabrication process and brings some upgrades in performance. Watches that use this processor will be up to 30% thinner than other smartwatches. Battery life also gets some major improvements, as Qualcomm says the platform extends the usage on a single charge by 50%.

All of this gives us a glimpse of what the Watch 3 series will offer. Possibly a thinner design, better battery life, and so much more. The available information regarding this smart wearable device from OPPO doesn’t hold much. It only confirms its processor and confirms that there will be more than one smartwatch available at launch.

Our sources also confirm that the OPPO Watch 3 series will launch in at least three models. All models are said to support eSIM and run ColorOS for smartwatches. We aren’t certain about the launch date, pricing, and in-depth features of the coming OPPO wearables.

Asides from OPPO, other smartwatch manufacturing brands will launch products using the Snapdragon W5 platforms. The next to follow this trend after OPPO will be TicWatch and Qualcomm confirmed this at the platform’s launch. More information about the OPPO Watch 3 series will be made available in the weeks leading to the launch of the smart wearable devices.
