The new iteration of the OPPO Reno series, the OPPO Reno9 series, has been revealed several times and is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 / MediaTek Dimensity 8 series processor.
Today, digital blogger @DigitalChat has revealed that the OPPO Reno9 series will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC and 64MP main camera, while the Pro is expected to come with a MediaTek Dimensity 8000 chipset and a 50MP Sony IMX 766 main camera.
The Snapdragon 7 Gen1 was released in May this year, with a core architecture consisting of one 2.4GHz A710 super core, three 2.36GHz A710 large cores, and four 1.8GHz A510 small cores, using Samsung’s 4nm process.
However, as of now, the only two processors using Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 are the OPPO Reno8 Pro and the Xiaomi Civi 2. If the OPPO Reno9 series is also dropped, then Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 shipments are a real concern.
