OPPO is gearing up for the launch of its upcoming OPPO Reno 9 lineup of smartphones. As usual, the lineup is expected to offer OPPO Reno 9 and OPPO Reno 9 Pro smartphones. Now, a piece of information has been hovering online which has reportedly leaked the chipset and camera details of the forthcoming smartphones. Let’s have a closer look at them.
OPPO Reno 9 series leaks; what to expect?
Known tipster Digital Chat Station has leaked some of the key specifications of the forthcoming OPPO Reno 9 lineup of smartphones. The lineup could offer three different models; the Reno 9, Reno 9 Pro and the top-of-the-line Reno 9 Pro Plus. it has been said that the Reno 9 Pro will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset.
He also disclosed that the MediaTek MT6895 chip, which powers the Dimensity 8100 chipset, will power the top variant in the Reno 9 series. The device will have a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary camera, he added. The Reno 9 Pro+ name will probably accompany this model when it enters the Chinese market.

There is much talk about the Reno 9 series having a 4,500mAh battery. A new red version of the Reno 9 family is anticipated. The series’ other specifics are still unknown. According to some rumours, the Reno 9 lineup may become official as soon as November. A clamshell phone and the Find N2 foldable phone from OPPO are expected to go on sale in December. Reno 9 series is therefore likely to debut about a month beforehand.
