OPPO, OnePlus and French outsourcers have suspended cooperation, but will still retain the market

According to reports from Android Authority and SamMobile, OPPO and its sub-brand OnePlus intend to withdraw from the European market in March 2023. Today, the French media Frandroid quoted people familiar with the matter as saying that OPPO and OnePlus are already digesting the inventory of French dealers and that the sold-out products will not be replenished, and there is no plan to launch new products.

Atmospheres, a manpower agent in charge of OPPO and OnePlus’ French business, said that outsourced employees who used to serve as store sales, regional managers, brand ambassadors and trainers for the two brands are now on unpaid leave. The contract between Atmosphères and OPPO and OnePlus will expire on June 30, 2023. It is understood that OPPO and OnePlus do not intend to renew the contract.

In this regard, OPPO stated in a statement that after the expiration of the contract with the dealer, it will still stay in the French market, but the statement only emphasized that it will not harm the interests of existing users, and did not mention future market plans.

OPPO and OnePlus have suspended their German business due to the loss of a patent lawsuit against Nokia not long ago. It was previously reported that OPPO has almost emptied its German official website. Now it is reported that it will withdraw from France, and it will further implement the market’s speculation about its withdrawal from Europe. In addition, OPPO and OnePlus are also reducing local operating costs, and the originally outsourced product promotion and advertising marketing activities have been completely suspended. OPPO and OnePlus have yet to comment on this.
