Earlier this week, an OPPO phone with model number PHQ110 was certified by China’s TENAA authority. The listing only revealed the phone’s images. Now, it has been updated with the entire specifications of the device. Rumors have it that the PHQ110 device will arrive in the Chinese market with the OPPO A98 moniker.
OPPO A98 specifications (rumored)
The OPPO A98 measures 162.3 x 74.3 x 7.7mm and weighs around 171 grams. It houses a 6.7-inch AMOLED display that produces a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels and 10-bit colors. It features an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The device is powered by an octa-core processor, which clocks at 2.2GHz. Rumors have claimed that it features the Snapdragon 695 chipset. The TENAA listing further mentions that the device has 6GB / 8GB / 12GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB / 256GB / 512GB of storage.
The OPPO A98 is equipped with a 5,000mAH battery, which is expected to carry support for 67W fast charging. It is not clear whether the device will come with Android 12 OS or the newer Android 13 OS. It has a microSD card slot for more storage.
The OPPO A98 is somewhat similar to the Realme RMX3687, which was recently certified by the TENAA authority. However, the Realme model, which is expected to launch as the Realme 10 Pro+ 5G, seems to be equipped with a different chipset and an additional camera on the back.
