Liu Zuohu previously revealed that OnePlus’ first folding-screen smartphone will be available in the third quarter of this year. Yogesh Brar later broke the news that the OnePlus folding screen phone conference will be held in New York in the first half of August, and will be launched globally thereafter.
Now, OnLeaks has released a rendering of the OnePlus V Fold, with a configuration similar to that of the OPPO Find N2.
First off, the back of this model will be made of faux leather, which should give it a nice feel in the hand.
OnePlus Fold also uses a rear three-camera system and is co-branded with Hasselblad. It is worth noting that this model is also equipped with a periscope lens, which can achieve a high-power optical zoom function similar to the Samsung S23 Ultra.
In addition, this model will also feature a side slider, which is also a signature design in OnePlus flagship products.
According to reports, the power button of OnePlus V Fold integrates a fingerprint recognition sensor, which is convenient for users to hold and unlock.
It is worth mentioning that the OnePlus folding phone also uses a triple speaker design, which is expected to bring a stronger audio experience.
As for the hinge part, this model seems to be inspired by the OPPO Find N2 and Samsung Galaxy Z phones.
In terms of performance, the machine is expected to be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 processor. It is rumored that the phone will also feature a 2K 120Hz AMOLED (LTPO) display and will feature a 50MP (IMX 890) main camera + 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens + 32MP periscope telephoto camera and a 32MP (OV32C) front camera, built-in 4800mAh battery, Support 100W SuperVOOC charging function.
The OnePlus folding screen phone is expected to run Android 13 / OxygenOS 13.1. Although it is very close to the official release of Google’s Android 14 in August, it is not expected to be available soon.
