OnePlus has announced the Nord CE 3 Lite phone, which comes with a Snapdragon 695 chip and a 108MP camera.
The 108MP camera on the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite features a 1/1.67-inch Samsung ISOCELL HM6 sensor with 0.64µm pixels that can be combined 9 to 1 for 12MP output, with an effective pixel size of 1.92µm (up from 64MP / 0.7µm on the Nord CE 2 Lite). The new camera supports a 3x lossless zoom (and 6x digital zoom). It also features a 2MP macro and 2MP depth camera.
The OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite phone is powered by a Snapdragon 695 chip on a 6nm process, with one of the biggest limitations being the maximum 1080p@30fps video recording support, thus limiting this 108MP camera.
OnePlus has increased the base memory to 8GB and it comes pre-installed running OxygenOS 13.1 (based on Android 13). Storage options are UFS 2.2 128GB or 256GB, with support for a hybrid microSD slot that can accommodate a second SIM card or expandable 1TB of storage.
The OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite features a 6.72-inch LCD screen with FHD+ resolution (20:9, 8bit), 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. Typical brightness is 550 nits and peak brightness is 680 nits.
The new phone is a little thinner, now at 8.3 mm thick (compared to 8.5 mm for the previous generation), and still weighs 195 grams. It comes in two colorways, Light Lime and Dazzling Gray.
The new phone has a built-in 5000mAh battery and supports 67W SuperVOOC fast charging. This means that it can be charged up to 80% in 30 minutes (compared to 50% for the previous model with the 33W system). The new model comes with SuperVOOC Endurance Edition, which prevents overcharging and slows down battery aging — up to 4 years on a daily charge.
The new phone also has stereo speakers (with 200% extra loud mode) and a 3.5mm jack for wired headphones. The phone comes with a charger, USB-C cable (with USB 2.0 support) and a pre-applied screen protector.
The 8GB+128GB version will cost 330 euros (currently about 2,472 CNY) / 300 pounds (currently about 2,559 CNY) and will be delivered to European buyers starting April 25. In India, the phone will cost INR 20,000 for the 8GB+128GB model (currently about CNY1,672) and INR 22,000 for the 256GB version (currently about CNY 1,839), and will go on sale on April 11.
