The OnePlus Ace Racing Edition has just been made available for pre-order. Currently, it will only be available in China via OPPO Mall. This is the second OnePlus smartphone in the Ace series. The first one was the OnePlus Ace flagship, which was released just a month ago in China. The new OnePlus Ace Race Edition is all set to be unveiled at an event that will take place on May 17th, at 7 PM local time.

The name of this new OnePlus device is OnePlus Ace Racing Edition. The specs of the device haven’t been officially announced yet, only the official render is released.
As the rumors suggest, the new OnePlus Ace Racing Edition will have a 6.59” IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution. The display has a 120Hz refresh rate. There isn’t an in-display fingerprint scanner but there’s one on the side but no alert slider.
There is a square-shaped camera module in the back, a bit reminiscent of the OnePlus 10 Pro but not an exact match. There’s a triple camera set up for the back module. A 64MP main camera, accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP camera. In the front, there’s a 16MP punch-hole camera setup for selfies and video calls.

This new device is speculated to feature the 8-core Dimensity 8100-Max processor from MediaTek with a clock speed of 2.85GHz. The RAM will be up to 12GB and 256GB of internal storage will be offered. The device will run ColorOS powered by Android 12 out of the box and it will pack a 5,000 mAh battery with the support for 65W fast charging.
The price of the device is also not confirmed yet. But rumors suggest that the starting price will be around 2,000 yuan ($294).
