OnePlus held a press conference in New Delhi today, officially launching the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R phones to Indian markets, as well as the OnePlus Buds 3, a true wireless headset. These two phones were first released in China at the end of last year, namely OnePlus 12 and OnePlus Ace 3. The configurations of the overseas market versions have not changed.
OnePlus 12 is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which has a 30% improvement in CPU performance and a 25% improvement in GPU performance compared to the previous generation 8 Gen 2. It is equipped with up to 16GB LPDDR5X memory and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. In terms of screen, the machine is equipped with a 6.82-inch 1440×3168 LTPO 4.0 AMOLED panel that supports a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of up to 4500 nits, and a global brightness of 1600 nits.
In terms of camera, OnePlus 12 is equipped with the fourth-generation Hasselblad mobile imaging system. The main camera is a 50MP Sony Lightyu LYT-808 sensor, 1/1.4-inch outsole, and 23mm f/1.6 lens. The telephoto lens is 70mm (3x optical zoom) f/2.6, and the sensor is an OmniVision OV64B, which supports 6x hybrid zoom and up to 120x digital zoom. The ultra-wide-angle lens is a 48MP, 14mm f/2.2 lens that supports phase focus. The front camera is 32MP f/2.4.
In terms of heat dissipation, OnePlus 12 uses Tiangong Cooling System Pro with a dual VC heat dissipation area of up to 9140 square millimeters, which greatly improves heat dissipation efficiency. In terms of network, OnePlus 12 adopts an omnidirectional antenna design with a total of 16 antennas, which brings better signal reception capabilities. In addition, OnePlus 12 also supports IP65 waterproofing.
In terms of battery life, OnePlus 12 is equipped with a 5400mAh battery and supports 100W SUPERVOOC wired charging and 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging. With 100W charging, it can be fully charged in 26 minutes. It should be noted that the North American version will come with an 80W charger, which will take 30 minutes to fully charge.
OnePlus 12R focuses on flagship experience while taking into account cost-effectiveness. It is equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, equipped with up to 16GB LPDDR5X memory and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage. In terms of heat dissipation, the Tiangong Cooling System Pro is also used. The heat dissipation area is the same as that of the OnePlus 12, which is 76% higher than the previous generation 11R.
In terms of screen, the OnePlus 12R is equipped with a 6.78-inch 1264×2780 LTPO4 AMOLED panel that supports a 120Hz refresh rate, with a peak brightness of 4500 nits and a global brightness of 1600 nits. It is worth mentioning that the OnePlus 12R surpasses the OnePlus 12 in battery capacity and is equipped with a 5500mAh large battery, which is also the largest battery capacity in the history of OnePlus phones. In terms of charging, OnePlus 12R supports 100W SUPERVOOC wired charging but does not have wireless charging function. In addition, the addition of the SUPERVOOC S charging management chip ensures at least 1,600 charge and discharge cycles, which is equivalent to a service life of more than 4 years.
In terms of cameras, the OnePlus 12R uses a 50MP Sony IMX890 main camera with a 1/1.56-inch outsole, a 24mm f/1.8 lens, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro lens. The front camera is 16MP f/2.4. In addition, the OnePlus 12R supports IP64 dust and water resistance.
OnePlus 12R is available in bright blue and matte gray, with a starting price of 699 euros. OnePlus 12 is available in green and black, with a starting price of 949 euros.
In addition to phones, OnePlus has also brought the OnePlus Buds 3, a true wireless headset to overseas markets. It uses a dual dynamic unit design and supports up to 49dB active noise reduction. It looks similar to the Buds 2 Pro, but has a smoother surface. Buds 3 is equipped with 3 microphones, has a touch-sensitive area on the headphone stem, supports IP55 waterproofing, and is priced at 99 euros.
