The OneNote application for Windows now allows switching between vertical and horizontal layouts for tabs according to the user’s usage needs.
Microsoft announced the opening of this feature in December last year, and it has previously implemented this feature on the web, macOS, and iPad. Microsoft’s Vishnu Nath announced today that OneNote for Windows is also getting the ability to switch between vertical and horizontal tabs.
Mike Tholfsen, Chief Group Product Manager for Microsoft Education, previously wrote in a blog post as follows:
"We’ve heard from many educators and students that OneNote on Windows (Desktop) would introduce vertical tabs, making it look like OneNote for Windows 10. Feedback from educators is a priority, so we're excited to announce that OneNote on Windows will introduce vertical tabs in early 2023, allowing users to manage notes, chapters, and pages."
