OnePlus joined the world of smartwatches in March 2021, and today it’s bringing its budget-friendly sub-brand Nord into the mix. Now let’s get to know the OnePlus Nord Watch – a smartwatch with a big, bright screen, sports tracking and up to 30 days of battery life.
The Nord Watch has a 1.78-inch rectangular AMOLED screen with a resolution of 368×448 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. The watch doesn’t have its own GPS, which means it can only collect location information from a smartphone via Bluetooth 5.2.
Shaped as a unisex wearable device, the watch developed by OnePlus has a zinc alloy and plastic body, while the strap is silicone and has a 230mAh battery.
It is fitted with a heart rate sensor, a SpO2 monitor and supports sleep tracking, it helps women track their monthly menstrual cycle, it automatically detects sports activities thanks to the accelerometer and supports 105 sports types, and it is IP68 rated for water and dust resistance.
Nord Watch can be used for one month on a single charge in low-power mode, while the battery life for use in regular mode is 10 days.
The OnePlus Nord Watch will go on sale immediately after its release with an initial discounted price of INR 4,999 (equivalent to $60), and the normal price after the promotional period is said to be INR 6,999 ($85), but it is unclear when the original price will be restored. In addition to the black model, a dark blue version will also be available soon, but no launch date was given.
