Making the long list of Acer’s new product announcements is the glass-free 3D monitor series. This series comprises two monitors, namely, SpatialLabs View, and SpatialLabs View Pro. Both monitors feature a unique feature that’ll appeal to 3D enthusiasts.
These monitors can convert the seemingly flat look of images within a game to lively real-time 3D images. Such technology can help gamers and curators engage more in the content they view on the monitor. A plus to these glass-free 3D monitors is that during the 2D to 3D conversion, they retain the rich colour display of the content.
Acer currently boasts of over 50+ games that either have an export or profile to support the stereoscopic 3D display that these monitors can achieve. Using these Acer glass-free 3D monitors for gaming or watching a film promises to give the same thrill as doing either mentioned activities with a 3D glass. Captivating images, visuals, and graphics take your digital experience to the next level.

For the specifications of these glass-free 3D monitor , they both feature a 15.6-inch massive 3D display. This 4K display can achieve maximum brightness of 400-nits with 100% Adobe RGB colour coverage. Bezels on the monitor are quite thick and even larger on the side that rest on the fault surface the monitor stands on.
Supporting the monitor display is a large kickstand that keeps the device firm even when on a rigid surface. For this device to seamlessly work, it needs to connect to either a desktop PC or a laptop with certain features. Acer clearly states these features to be an Intel Core i7 (or higher) on the CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 on the GPU (for a desktop PC). For a laptop to use any of these monitors ASA second screen, it’d need to have an Intel Core i7 (or higher) on its CPU and a GPU using NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070ti (or higher).
Curators and gamers interested in getting this monitor as a second screen for their laptops or to pair with their PC, need to wait till the month of June. Sales of these monitors will possibly kick off in the month of June. The actual price isn’t yet clear, but we can expect them to sell for $1200 or above.
