OmniVision released new 4K resolution image sensor for security camerastoday released a new product OS08C10, which is a 4K resolution image sensor suitable for home and professional security cameras. The OS08C10 is sampling now and will be in volume production in the first quarter of 2024.
The introduction of Haowei OS08C10 sensor as follows:
This 8-megapixel back-illuminated (BSI) image sensor uses interleaved high dynamic range (HDR) and single-exposure dual analog gain (DAG) technology to achieve high-performance imaging under harsh lighting conditions. The OS08C10 is based on 1.45 micron BSI pixels and supports both Ultra HD 4K resolution and high frame rates. The OS08C10 is available in a small 1/2.8-inch optical format, a common size for home and professional security, IoT and action cameras.
The OS08C10 captures real-time 4K video at 60 frames per second with minimal artifacts. It uses a Selective Conversion Gain (SCG) pixel design that can flexibly select between low and high conversion gains according to lighting conditions. In addition, the sensor uses new correlated multi-sampling (CMS) technology to further reduce readout noise and improve SNR1 and low-light performance. The OS08C10’s on-chip defective pixel correction (DPC) technology corrects in real time defective pixels that may occur throughout the sensor’s life cycle, especially under harsh operating conditions, resulting in better quality and reliability than standard devices.
