Market research company Omdia recently released a report that the OLED display panel market from last year to next year will grow more than 10 times, the strong demand for gaming displays is the main reason for its rapid development.

The report predicts that global OLED display panel shipments will grow from 160,000 units in 2022 to 800,000 units this year, and will reach 1.74 million units in 2024, a more than 10-fold surge in two years. Omdia also predicts that global OLED display panel shipments will reach 2.3 million units in 2025, and 277,000 units in 2026.
According to the report, the rapid growth of OLED display panels is due to the rising demand for gaming displays. OLED panels offer sharper, fuller image quality and faster response times than traditional LCD panels.
OLED panels’ share of the 4K gaming monitor market is growing rapidly as more 200-300Hz high refresh rate, large-size OLED gaming monitors are launched. It is expected that the share of OLED panels in the field of game monitors will grow from 7.3% in 2022 to 32.1% this year, next year will reach 54%, and 61% in 2025, and OLED panels will gradually become the mainstream of the game monitor market.

Samsung display to Samsung, Dell and other major display manufacturers supply QD-OLED panels, LG display in 2022 with 40-inch OLED panels into the market, and from the beginning of this year began mass production of 27-inch and 45-inch ultra-wide OLED panels dedicated to the game, supplied to LG, Asus and Corsair and other brands.
