Official images of the new Genesis G80 expected to be released in 2024

Recently, Genesis released a set of official photos of the new G80. As a mid-term facelift model, the new car adopts a sportier appearance, and has been significantly upgraded in the interior, including a 27-inch large screen. The fuel version is expected to use the current 2.5T engine with a maximum power of 304 horsepower. The pure electric version is expected to use dual motors and four drives, with a total power of 370 horsepower and a CTLC cruising range of 625km. The car is expected to be released in 2024, and imported domestic models are also expected to be updated simultaneously.

“Genesis G80 Sport”

From the appearance point of view, the new car is divided into two types of front faces. They continue to use Genesis’s iconic big mouth grille, but the internal mesh becomes thicker and more powerful. The headlights continue the current shape, using two Parallel light strip design. The standard version of the grille adopts a double-layer grid design, the chrome trim strips are removed from the lower surround, and air guide grooves are added on both sides, making the entire front face look more sporty. The G80 Sport version adopts a more radical lower surround design, taking the sporty style a step further.

From the side, the standard version is equipped with new 20-inch double five-spoke wheels, which look more sporty than the current dense-spoke design. No rear image of the Soprt version has been released, and it is expected to be consistent with the standard version. The rear of the car has been slightly adjusted in the rear enclosure, the exhaust pipe has become a hidden design, the license plate holder area has changed from an inverted trapezoid to a straight trapezoid, and a new diversion groove design has been added on both sides, making the entire rear of the car look more layered.

The changes in the interior are the most significant, from the current full LCD instrument + central control screen design to a 27-inch large screen, which has the functions of both the instrument panel and the central control screen. The steering wheel has been replaced with a three-spoke design from four spokes, giving it a sportier style. In addition, the air-conditioning control area has also been upgraded, and the new knobs and control panels look more refined.

In terms of power, the new fuel version is expected to use the current 2.5T engine with a maximum power of 304 horsepower and a peak torque of 442 Nm. A 3.5T engine with a maximum power of 380 horsepower is also available overseas. In terms of transmission, it will be matched with an 8-speed automatic manual gearbox, and each model is available in rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions. The pure electric version is expected to use dual motors and four drives, with a total power of 370 horsepower and a CTLC cruising range of 625km.
