In terms of appearance, the redesigned body of the new car is more streamlined. At the same time, radar sensors are installed on the interior rearview mirror and on the upper part of the front grille, and there are cameras below the exterior rearview mirror, which means that the new car will have improved driving assistance capabilities.
Looking from the side of the car, the rear door handle has been moved from next to the C-pillar to its regular position. The taillight outline has changed significantly, and the internal details are more complex than the current model. There is a “Hybrid” badge on the right side of the tailgate, and the lower part is a black rear surround. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the vehicle are 3860/1735/1495 (1520) mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2450mm. In addition, the car will also use 16-inch alloy wheels.
In the interior, the new car has been completely redesigned. The suspended central control screen and center console layout are significantly different from the current model. Elements such as circular air-conditioning outlets have been replaced by more angular lines. The multi-function steering wheel may be one of the few features that continues to be used in the current model. Suzuki officials stated that the research and development focus of the new Speedy is to bring fun to car owners’ daily lives. The car is equipped with a series of advanced safety technologies, including collision mitigation braking, adaptive high-beam system, driver monitoring system, etc. .
In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with a three-cylinder engine and matched with a 12V mild hybrid system (ISG). The engine can output a maximum power of 82 horsepower and a maximum torque of 112 Nm. The ISG mild hybrid system can output a maximum power of 2.3 kilowatts and a maximum torque of 60 N·m. In terms of transmission system, the new car will be matched with a 6-speed manual transmission and a CVT automatic transmission.
