In response to NVIDIA’s upcoming GeForce RTX 40 series Ada Lovelace graphics cards, Chiphell webmaster nApoleon released the latest news over the weekend, suggesting that the green factory will launch RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 in the next two months. Among them, the RTX 4090 flagship graphics card will be the first to arrive in October, while the RTX 4080 will arrive in November – and includes two 16GB / 12GB memory versions (power consumption is 340W / 285W).

nApoleon’s original words are: “Originally, the flagship will come in October this year. Who knows that I just got the news that it will be officially released at the 9.20 conference. The flagship will indeed come in October~ This should be stable. But who knows, the new 80 will be officially released. It came a month later…”.
Referring to WCCFTech’s report in June this year, the RTX 4080 will indeed be unveiled at the GTC 2022 conference and launched in October.
But what’s more interesting is that as WCCFTech’s exclusive revelations a few months ago stated, the RTX 4080 will only be separated from the RTX 4090 by a month.

In addition to the RTX 4090/4080 in October/November, the RTX 4070 is said to be released before the end of the year (December), while the RTX 4060 will not be revealed until early next year during the CES 2023 Consumer Electronics Show.
According to sources, the RTX 4080 will have 16GB / 12GB two-speed video memory capacity, and their TGP power consumption is 340W / 285W respectively – from the 20% difference in power consumption, the detailed specifications of the two should also be a big difference.
In terms of PCB, the RTX 4080 with 16GB GDDR6X memory should use a 12-layer PCB, while the SKU with 12GB GDDR6X memory should use a 10-layer PCB – the former is suitable for public / non-public, while the latter is only suitable for AIC.
In fact, Nvidia’s lineup of RTX 3080 graphics cards also has two derivative SKUs. One is the 10GB video memory version that will stand out in 2020, followed by the 12GB SKU (AIC only / no FE public version model) that will appear after two years.
Finally, the RTX 4090 is expected to officially arrive on October 22, but Nvidia will likely reveal it early during its GTC 2022 keynote later this month.
