According to Steam published in August hardware and software report, NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card appeared for the first time, its share of 0.23%. While that number may not seem high, it’s the same share as the Radeon RX 7900 XTX, which was released seven months ago.
The NVIDIA RTX 4060 is the most affordable of the 40 series and has been recognized by many gamers for outperforming the GeForce RTX 3060 with 12GB of RAM, even though it only has 8GB of RAM and a 128-bit memory bus.
The GeForce RTX 3060 was released in February 2021 and appeared in Steam stats two months later with a user share of 0.17%, earning the title of Most Popular Graphics Card (both desktop and mobile) in August 2023.
The GeForce RTX 40 Series had a total share of 5.66% on the August Steam charts, up 1.94 percentage points from a month earlier.
