For developers and enterprises looking to bring AI/robotics applications and related products to market, the challenge is now met with the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin 32GB volume module. With the partner’s broad offering, developers can build and deploy feature-rich Orin-driven systems that span edge AI, robotics, AIOT, and embedded applications such as motion cameras, sensors, software and connectivity.
TechPowerUp notes that 30+ technology providers in NVIDIA’s global partner network are delivering commercial products powered by the new modules. The new modules offer a 6x performance leap over the previous generation.
In addition, the mass-produced systems feature a wide range of peripheral options to allow customers to easily address industry challenges such as manufacturing, retail, construction, agriculture, logistics, healthcare, smart cities, and last-mile delivery.
"On one hand, developers and engineers are often limited by hardware capabilities when dealing with multiple concurrent data streams in complex application environments. On the other hand, they face higher latency requirements, energy efficiency limitations, high-bandwidth wireless connectivity, and the ease of managing wireless software updates. At the same time, developers are forced to include multiple chips in their designs to adequately handle the computing resources required for diverse and growing data volumes."
The Jetson AGX Orin Developer Suite is said to perform up to 275 trillion operations per second, supporting multiple concurrent AI application pipelines.
It is complemented by NVIDIA Ampere architecture GPUs, next-generation deep learning/vision gas pedals, as well as high-speed I/O and fast memory bandwidth.
"With the Jetson AGX Orin, customers can use large and complex AI models to develop solutions for natural language understanding, 3D sensing, multi-sensor fusion and more. The four Jetson Orin-based production modules announced at GTC also provide customers with a full range of server-class AI performance."
Finally, the Jetson AGX Orin 32GB production module is now available for purchase, while the 64GB version will be available in November. The other two Orin NX production modules are scheduled to arrive later this year.
