A leaked slideshow from NVIDIA confirms that the upcoming GeForce RTX 4070 Ti graphics card will launch with a starting price of $799. That would make it $100 less than the launch price of the RTX 4080 12 GB. NVIDIA previously canceled the launch of the RTX 4080 12 GB and is said to be renaming it the RTX 4070 Ti.
The RTX 4080 12 GB was supposed to launch alongside the RTX 4080 16 GB in mid-November 2022, but the confusing and deceptive nomenclature of that SKU, as well as its supposedly “ambitious” MSRP, would make this custom-designed This graphics card far exceeded the $1,000 mark, so the company decided to “kill” it.
A slide from NVIDIA reveals that the RTX 4070 Ti will be faster than the previous generation’s flagship RTX 3090 Ti. This is thanks to its 40 shader TFLOP/s, 93 RT TFLOP/s and 642 Tensor TFLOP/s.
