August 12, before the launch of the RTX 20 series and RTX 30 series graphics cards, Nvidia’s graphics cards have been named GTX. According to VideoCardz, an engineering sample of the GTX 2080 graphics card has been revealed, which means that NVIDIA had intended to name the RTX 20 series the GTX 20 series.

This GTX 2080 is reportedly the same appearance and motherboard as NVIDIA’s officially launched RTX 2080 public version graphics card, which also has the same performance and supports ray tracing and DLSS.

Since the RTX 20 series graphics cards support ray tracing RT (Ray Tracing), Nvidia’s gaming graphics cards abandoned the GTX prefix, all using the RTX prefix. The GTX 2080 was bought by Reddit users on the overseas second-hand trading platform ebay, costing $360 (about 2426.4 yuan), and has some collector’s value.
