Hardware whistleblower MEGAsizeGPU claimed that Nvidia will launch the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti graphics card on January 5th next year.
The whistleblower also shared a functional screenshot of what is purported to be a GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, although the screenshot does not confirm the graphics card’s specifications. According to kopite7kimi’s previous statement, Nvidia is likely to rename the previously cancelled GeForce RTX 4080 12GB graphics card as the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti.
Assuming the above rumors are true and Nvidia doesn’t make any changes, the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti should have the same specs as the GeForce RTX 4080 12GB. According to previous news released by NVIDIA, the RTX 4080 12GB has 7680 CUDA cores and 12GB of Micron GDDR6X memory, which is more powerful than the previous generation flagship GPU RTX 3090 Ti.
In September this year, NVIDIA released the RTX 4080 12G, which was originally planned to be listed in November, starting at 7199 yuan. After that, NVIDIA thought that it was inappropriate to list this graphics card under the name of RTX 4080 12G, so it cancelled this graphics card.
