NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card confirmed to feature 12GB of memory

NVIDIA’s yet-to-be-launched GeForce RTX 4070 and RTX 4060 graphics cards have been leaked by Gigabyte in advance.

The latest “23.03.02.01” version of GIGABYTE’s Control Center software brings support for the two new cards, which are definitely non-public versions, but it also confirms the memory configuration of the two cards. The two models are.

  • Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 AERO OC 12 GB (GV-N4070AERO OC-12G)
  • GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4060 Gaming OC 8 GB (GV-N4060GAMING OC-8GD)

Both of these models are non-public Gigabyte models and are part of the AERO OC and Gaming OC series. From this, it appears that the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 is set to feature a 12GB (192bit bus) configuration, while the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 is 8GB (128bit).

This is also the first confirmation of the RTX 4060 configuration from NVIDIA partners so far. As rumoured, the card will come with 8GB of video memory and we don’t expect it to be too cheap.

According to what we reported previously, NVIDIA is expected to release the RTX 4070 on April 12 and unblocked, available on April 13, priced at $749 (the current about RMB 5161, is expected to be 5099 ~ 5999 are possible in China). Unfortunately, there is no release date for the RTX 4060 series, but it is expected to be released in May at the earliest, provided that the RTX 30 series inventory is bottomed out.

In terms of parameters, sources say that the RTX 4070 desktop graphics card has three possible designs, will use AD104-250/251 GPU, with 5888 CUDA cores, 12GB of memory 192bit GDDR6, a graphics card TDP of about 200W.

  • PG141-SKU343 RTX 4070 reference version AD104-250-A1
  • PG141-SKU344 RTX 4070 Founders Edition AD104-250-A1
  • PG141-SKU345 RTX 4070 Reference Edition AD104-251-A1

Considering that the current RTX 4070 Ti is almost as close to the RTX 3090 Ti, and the RTX 4070 is a neutered version of that card, we expect the new card to be somewhere between the RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3080.

Currently, NVIDIA has listed RTX 4090, 4080 and 4070 Ti graphics cards, respectively, RMB 12,999, RMB 9499 and RMB 6499, which is expected to be the earliest NVIDIA will be released in the middle of the year Taipei computer station mainstream RTX 4060 and RTX 4050 desktop graphics cards, stay tuned.
