NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4060 to launch in May

According to Wccftech, NVIDIA will launch the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4060 GPUs for the mainstream market in May this year.

According to reports, the RTX 4060Ti will use the 160W AD106 core, while the regular version will use the 115W AD107 core.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti specs “rumored”:

The RTX 4060 Ti is expected to use a neutered version of the AD106-350-A1 GPU core. According to previous rumors, it will contain 34 SM or 4352 CUDA cores with 8 GB of GDDR6 memory, 128-bit bit width, and speeds of up to 18 Gbps, for a total bandwidth of 288 GB/s. The GPU is also said to have 32 MB of L2 cache, which is 8 times the cache of the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti.

The leaked PCB screenshots show that the card will use the PG190 SKU 361 PCB, and while the reference Founders Edition uses the standard 16-pin 12VHPWR connector, the non-public version can also choose between the standard 8-pin connector or the newer 16-pin connector. Currently, the 8pin version is much cheaper. The news is that the card’s TDP will eventually be in the 150-160W range, about 25% lower than the RTX 3060 Ti.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 specifications rumors:

For the RTX 4060, NVIDIA is expected to use the full AD107-400-A1 GPU, the same GPU configuration as the mobile version of the card.

The chip is expected to feature 3072 CUDA cores and 8 GB of GDDR6 memory, with 128 bit bit width and 18 Gbps of memory speed, and will bring 288 GB/s of bandwidth and a reference TDP of 110W – 115W. The GPU is also said to have 24 MB of L2 cache.

According to the information known so far, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 final TGP should be about 35% lower than the RTX 3060 12 GB.

While previous reports indicated that the card would be based on the PG190 PCB, Wccftech’s sources indicate that it will use the PG173 SKU 371 PCB design, although the FE version will likely use the PG190 and the AIC vendor’s reference board will use the PG173.

Just like the RTX 4060 Ti, the mainstream standard for non-Ti models is the cheaper 8pin connector, and we’re expected to see some nice Mini-ITX models to create a “little steel”.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti should allegedly deliver about 22 TFLOPs of computing power, while the non-public version could be bumped up to closer to 24 TFLOPs.

The media believes that the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti graphics card will eventually perform similarly to the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti. Considering that the 3070 Ti $599 (currently about RMB 4499), the 4060 Ti must be close to $399 (currently about RMB 2749) to successfully become a qualified successor to the 3060 Ti, but from the three cards that have been listed so far, it seems that NVIDIA will hardly give this kind of sincerity, and I hope it will not be too Disappointing.
