Nvidia GeForce NOW cloud game uses RTX 4080: supports 240 frames of play

NVIDIA today announced a configuration upgrade for GeForce NOW cloud games, providing GeForce RTX 4080 graphics cards for billions of devices, suitable for the new high-performance Ultimate membership level.

Nvidia said that with the support of the Ada Lovelace architecture, the upgraded GeForce NOW RTX 4080 SuperPOD will provide a single user with more than 64 teraflops of graphics processing power, which is much faster than the desktop version of GeForce RTX 4080 (48.8 teraflops). More than 5 times that of the X game console, and nearly 1.75 times that of the previous generation SuperPOD.

GeForce NOW Ultimate membership supports streaming from the cloud at 240 frames per second in popular titles like Portal RTX Edition, as well as support for global ray tracing and DLSS 3. The member also joined NVIDIA Reflex, achieving sub-40ms latency.

In addition, 4K gaming has been upgraded from 60 frames to 120 frames, and for the first time will support ultra-widescreen monitors with resolutions up to 3840 x 1600, including resolutions such as 3440 x 1440 and 2560 x 1080.

Current GeForce NOW RTX 3080 members can seamlessly upgrade to Ultimate members immediately and will upgrade to RTX 4080 graphics cards in North America and Europe later this month, with a subscription price of $19.99 per month (currently about 138 CNY) or $99.99 for six months (currently about CNY 691).
