Carl Pei, the founder of Nothing, confirmed that the Nothing Phone (2) will be released in July, equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. Now, Carl Pei says that the Nothing Phone (2) will have a 4700 mAh battery, which is 200 mAh larger than the Phone (1) battery.
The Nothing Phone (2) screen will be 0.15 inches larger than the Phone (1) display at 6.7 inches, but the specific resolution is revealed (Note: Nothing Phone (1) panel is Full HD+).
Additionally, Nothing states that “The Nothing Phone (2) has a carbon footprint of 53.45kg, over 5kg less than the Phone (1), uses 3 times as many recycled or bio-based components as the Phone (1), and has no plastic in its retail packaging.”
Additionally, to make Nothing Phone (2) more sustainable, Nothing is committing to three years of major Android version updates and four years of security updates for smartphones powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.
