Nothing Phone (1) confirmed to feature a light-up back

The hype surrounding the Nothing Phone (1) doesn’t seem to end, or Carl Pei doesn’t want it to end. Nothing Phone (1) is set to arrive in four weeks and a lot of the specs and key details have been confirmed by the company. Just now, Carl Pei released the first part of a self-promoting documentary. As the former OnePlus co-founder, Carl is no stranger to making documentaries about what goes on behind the scenes. This worked for OnePlus, and it seems like Carl is taking the same route again.

The video is not really an exciting one. It is a black & white video that focuses on the key employees getting ready for work for a full seven minutes. By the end, things got pretty interesting. We also got to see Nothing Phone (1).

Nothing Phone 1 Video

Despite Carl’s attempt to keep everything under the sheet, a few notable secrets have been revealed in the video. However, this could also be a ploy to keep the viewers stuck to their seats.

Nothing Phone (1) video reveals

First of all, the back of the Nothing Phone (1). It lights up. In the video, the phone clearly lights up when the man is using it. The light follows a pattern, and it is the same symbol that Carl showed when announcing the phone’s existence.

Nina Scott is part of the team. She’s the Senior Influencer Manager, and she has revealed that StockX might be a part of the Nothing phone’s launch. Scott says this makes sense as this would be the very first place one could buy the phone. StockX is similar to eBay. It is a buyer/sellers marketplace and everything goes through high levels of vetting. It is likely that the Nothing Phone (1) will be sold there first for a limited period.

Lastly, Carl talked about the phone showing it in his hands but the phone was blurred. But there was a single shot that showed Carl using it and it was unblurred.

It is obvious that more videos will follow in the coming days showing bits of the phone and revealing a few key details. This will definitely hook the potential customers.
