Nothing introduces Ear (2) Wireless earphones: Improved sound quality experience for $149

Nothing, the company founded by Pei Yu, co-founder of OnePlus, today launched the Ear(2) TWS wireless earphones. The earphones look basically the same as the Ear (1), but with a significant improvement in sound quality, and are priced at $149 (currently about 1024 CNY), up $50 from their predecessor.

Nothing Ear (2) appearance is not much adjustment, more focused on the internal upgrade optimization. The first is based on the Ear (1) user feedback, to solve some of the pain points of the first generation, followed by enhanced active noise cancellation function, to bring more excellent sound quality experience.

Nothing Ear (2) introduces Adaptive Transparency, similar to AirPods Pro 2, which adjusts noise cancellation in real time based on ambient sound conditions.

In terms of sound quality, Nothing has added Hi-Res Audio certification and LHDC 5.0, a low-latency audio codec, to provide a better sound experience for the wearer. There’s also an 11.6mm driver and a “dual-chamber” design for better sound quality and “smoother airflow”.

In terms of battery life, with the charging case and active noise cancellation turned off, you can play for 36 hours on a full charge. The earphones are IP54 waterproof, so regular sweat and other scenarios won’t affect them.
