The Nokia C31 is now available in China through the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, model number TA-1511, a dual SIM dual standby 4G model manufactured by Hmadi Technology (Shenzhen) Co.
The C31 is also 3C-certified and radio approved, and is expected to be available in the near future.
On 1 September this year, HMD Global announced a number of products overseas, including the Nokia X30 / G60 / C31 phone and the Nokia T21 tablet. Then, the official Nokia Mobile Weibo announced that the Nokia C31 entry-level smartphone would be coming to the domestic market.
The Nokia C31 phone comes with a 6.75-inch display and, although not as large as the C30, has body dimensions of 169.2 mm x 78 mm x 8.6 mm and weighs 200 grams. It has an HD+ LCD display covered by tempered glass.
The Nokia C31 is powered by a ZTE 9863A1 chip on a 28nm process with eight Cortex-A55 cores (1.6GHz) and a PowerVR GE8322 GPU. The phone runs full Android 12 (not the Go version) and promises 2 years of quarterly security patches (no system updates though). There are three memory configurations: 3GB+32GB, 4GB+64GB and 4GB+128GB. storage can be expanded up to 256GB (dedicated slot) on a microSD card.
The Nokia C31 phone features a 13 MP main camera, 2 MP macro and 2 MP depth camera, and a 5 MP selfie camera on the front. The phone comes with the Android Go camera app developed by Google and the GoPro Quick app for quick and easy photo and video editing. The front camera supports face unlock even if the user is wearing a mask, or the fingerprint reader on the back can also be used.
The Nokia C31 has a built-in 5050mAh battery but only supports basic 10W charging, still uses the microUSB port and has an IP52 rating for dust and drip protection.
The Nokia C31 is a 4G phone (LTE Cat.4) with dual nanoSIM slots (plus an additional microSD slot). The phone also supports a 3.5 mm headset jack and FM radio receiver, Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.2.
The Nokia C31 starts at €240 (approx. RMB 1658.4) for the 3GB+32GB base model and is available in charcoal, cyan and mint.
