Nokia announced that it will open an innovation laboratory in Dubai to promote AI technology

According to foreign media ET Telecom, Nokia announced that it will set up an open innovation laboratory in Dubai, aiming to promote technological innovation in the Middle East and Africa and accelerate new technologies such as AI and ML (machine learning). Applications in network automation and optimization.

It is reported that the new laboratory will focus on three important areas to bring practical benefits to operators and enterprises:

  1. anyRAN solution for 5G communications

Nokia claims that its AnyRAN solution will help develop cloud RAN (Radio Access Network, “5G Radio Access Network”) into a solution that can be used in parallel with purpose-built RAN to ensure Performance consistency.

 This approach provides a range of flexible options for technology vendors and operating environments to meet operator and enterprise expectations for openness and efficiency.

  1. Private wireless networks and industrial networks

The lab will showcase Industry 4.0 use cases based on Nokia’s market-leading MX Industrial Edge (MXIE) platform to help enterprises accelerate their transition to Industry 4.0 in the region.

  1. MantaRay solution in the field of network intelligence

Nokia aims to accelerate the adoption of AI and ML solutions for network automation and optimization. Nokia’s MantaRay solution portfolio for intelligent network management and automation will be demonstrated and applied in this lab.
