On August 31 Nokia 1830 PSS Photonic Services Switch successfully validated 600Gbps rates with Telekom Serbia and MTEL, supporting low latency, high capacity transmission and flexible adaptation to various traffic patterns agility, according to Nokia Bell.

In this live network test between Telekom Serbia and MTEL, Nokia demonstrated 600 Gbit/s line performance over a 600 km path consisting of 6 span segments via the C-F ROADM node. By achieving highly spectrally efficient operation over 100 GHz WDM channels, Telekom Serbia and MTEL will be able to maximize network capacity, performance, and operational efficiency while reducing the total cost of ownership of the network.
