It is reported that after the AITO brand created by Huawei and Celis announced the delivery volume in September, the new force brand Weilai also posted its record in September. According to official data from NIO, in September 2022, NIO delivered 10,878 new vehicles; in the third quarter, NIO delivered 31,607 new vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 29.3% and a record quarterly delivery.
From January to September 2022, NIO delivered 82,434 new vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 24.2%. NIO has delivered a total of 249,504 new vehicles.
Weilai also mentioned that the delivery of ET5 has started. The car mainly focuses on the luxury pure electric mid-size car market, and its competitors include Tesla Model 3 and BMW 3 series products. It was officially launched in August this year at the NIO Second Advanced Manufacturing Base in the NeoPark Xinqiao Smart Electric Vehicle Industrial Park offline.
Previously, Qin Lihong, co-founder and president of NIO, said that within a year, the sales volume of the ET5 will exceed that of the BMW 3 Series fuel version, and it will replace such traditional “fuel vehicles”.
Regarding the product performance of ET5, Qin Lihong is also quite confident, “ET5 is at the level of 300,000, and I believe that the power of this product is at the rolling level. The acceleration of 0-100 kilometers in 4 seconds, the large dome canopy, and the cruising range climbed to 6, 700 kilometers, and then the 150-degree battery pack will land, and the battery life is expected to reach about 1,000 kilometers.”
