NIO CEO William Li and the company’s president Qin Lihong both made their way to Germany. During their visit to the European country, they took out the time to take the company’s latest electric SUV for a ride. The presence of the two co-founders in Germany shows that the company’s European expansion plans are on the way.
According to the company’s CEO, this is his first time in Germany in the past three years. His arrival in the country marks NIO’s entry into Germany and some other regions in Europe. The EV manufacturer is already establishing a name for itself in a few European countries like Hungary.

NIO has so much in store concerning its expansion into the European region. From EV launches to more innovative steps that will make its services readily available across the continent. Already the NIO EV battery swapping stations are finding their way into various countries in Europe, next in line will be more electric vehicles.
This shows that the Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer is trying hard to build its presence in regions other than China, its home market. The competition for NIO in these new markets will be intense since other Chinese EV manufacturers are as well breaking into the market. To build their grip on the European EV market, these companies will need to focus on making their services more accessible to potential consumers.
