On October 8, NIO announced that it will enter the markets of Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, and Sweden with a “subscription model”, offering three models: ET7, EL7 (ES7), and ET5. The vehicle subscription period Ranges from 1 month to 60 months. This plan has been interpreted by the industry as a sales model of “rent only, not sell”.
Due to the strong willingness of European users to buy out, Weilai announced today the purchase price of the three models of ET7 / EL7 / ET5 in the German market, and the delivery will begin in early 2023.

Nio has previously allowed customers to rent batteries instead of buying them. Batteries are by far the most expensive component on an electric car. At the same time, instead of charging the car at home, NIO owners can drive the car to a battery replacement station and replace it with a new battery pack within minutes to save time.
