The Nio Innovation Center in Berlin was officially launched yesterday, with R&D teams for digital systems, intelligent cockpits, and autonomous driving.

In addition, Nio’s European energy infrastructure team will also set up an R&D base in the Berlin Innovation Center, focusing on grid services and the management and operation of European exchange stations.
Nio’s four European R&D centres:
- Berlin, Germany, Innovation Center (to be established in 2023)
- Oxford, UK, Global Energy and Forward Concept R&D Center (established in 2015)
- Munich, Germany, Global Design Center (established in 2015)
- Budapest, Hungary, European R&D Center for Power Plus Products (to be established in 2022)

Nio has focused on the German market in recent years and held the NIO Berlin 2022 event at the Vimpdur Hall in Berlin, Germany last October to announce the arrival of Nio products and the complete operational system to Europe. Subsequently, Nio has been conducting customer face-to-face and ET7 delivery and test drive events in Germany, Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden.
Currently, Nio centres have opened in Berlin, Frankfurt and other German cities.
