NIO announced deliveries of the 2024 models to begin in early March

NIO announced today that it will further upgrade the intelligent hardware configuration of existing models in 2024, and new models will be delivered one after another in early March.

 In 2023, NIO will deliver a total of more than 160,000 vehicles across its eight models, ranking first in the high-end pure electric market with a share of more than 300,000 RMB.

 In 2024, NIO will further upgrade the intelligent hardware configuration of existing models, and new models will be delivered one after another in early March.

 As the Spring Festival is approaching, Aito provides short-term car purchase privileges for 2023 models.

According to the first internal letter of 2024 issued by NIO Chairman and CEO Li Bin, NIO will focus on three “high priority matters” in 2024:

 Ensure long-term investment in core key technologies, ensure the leading edge of technology and products, and ensure on-time and quality delivery;

 Ensure that sales and service capabilities can cope with fierce market competition and sales capabilities can be converted into sales as soon as possible;

 Ensure that the research and development of 9 core products of 3 brands are carried out on schedule.

It is learned that NIO currently plans a total of three brands. Among them, the NIO brand has launched 8 products and there are no new products this year. The second brand is internally code-named “Alpine” and plans to launch its first SUV in the second half of this year. model; the third brand, codenamed “Firefly”, plans to debut a small car similar to BMW’s MINI in the European market in 2025.

NIO delivered 18,012 vehicles in December 2023, a year-on-year increase of 13.9%; a total of 160,038 vehicles were delivered in 2023, a year-on-year increase of 30.7%. As of December 31, 2023, NIO has delivered a total of 449,594 new cars.

For comparison, among the other two “Weixiaoli” brands, Li Auto delivered 50,353 new cars in December, a year-on-year increase of 137.1%. Xpeng Motors delivered 20,115 new cars in December, a year-on-year increase of 78%.

In a face-to-face meeting with NIO media in December 2023, NIO President Qin Lihong said that building a cattle house and exchanging batteries is not unprofessional. Chinese car companies want to build high-end brands and have to try more and may have to pay some tuition fees. But NIO is not squandering investors’ money, nor is it an inefficient company.
